Responsibilities
•Develop and optimize backend systems with PHP, Symfony, and Doctrine, particularly for laboratory order and result processes, interfaces with laboratory systems, and asynchronous processing
•Design robust APIs and deliver performant, scalable, and reliable solutions
•Ensure code quality and reliable releases through testing with PHPUnit, PHPStan, and Playwright, as well as monitoring and debugging
•Contribute to CI/CD, deployment, and the DDEV-based development environment
•Use Claude Code and the Anthropic stack in development while retaining technical control and responsibility for the code
•Contribute to technical decisions where appropriate
•Collaborate closely with frontend, QA, Product, and stakeholders in an agile environment
Requirements
•3+ years of professional experience in PHP backend development
•Experience with Symfony or comparable frameworks, Doctrine, relational databases such as MariaDB/MySQL, APIs, and interfaces
•Familiarity with Docker, DDEV, Git, and CI/CD pipelines
•Structured and independent working style, high quality standards, and a pragmatic mindset
•Takes data protection and healthcare compliance seriously
Nice to have
•Practical experience with AI-assisted software development, ideally Claude Code/Anthropic
•Ability to safely review, understand, and develop AI-generated code
•Experience with RabbitMQ, Redis/Valkey, Linux servers, and performance optimization
