About the Company
Greentube Group is a B2B iGaming platform provider that delivers solutions to gaming operators worldwide. It is a leading developer and supplier of iGaming solutions and a wholly owned subsidiary of the NOVOMATIC Group.
Responsibilities
•Build and maintain scalable Java backend services focused on performance and reliability
•Develop and support REST APIs and microservices for high-traffic gaming operations
•Work with PostgreSQL and SQL Server, writing and tuning queries for production workloads
•Implement error handling, logging, and monitoring across distributed systems
•Collaborate with frontend and DevOps teams on integration and deployment
•Troubleshoot and debug backend services, and support observability using tools such as Prometheus
•Help build and improve CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
•Participate in code reviews and document systems to support knowledge transfer
Requirements
•1–3 years of hands-on backend development, primarily in Java
•Solid understanding of microservices, REST APIs, and distributed systems
•Experience building and maintaining production-grade backend services
•Comfortable with relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and writing efficient SQL
•Understanding of asynchronous processing and event-driven patterns
•Comfortable working with inherited code and limited documentation, and willing to help bring structure to it
•Ownership mentality and a pragmatic problem-solving approach
•Clear communicator who works well with the wider team
•Eager to learn from the system architect and develop architectural judgement
•Fluent in English
Nice to Have
•Serbian language
•Experience with containerization and cloud platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS or Azure)
•Hands-on experience with message queues such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
•Familiarity with caching strategies
•Background in gaming, iGaming, or other high-traffic systems
•German language skills
