Applied researcher in marketplaces

In short

Senior Applied Researcher role owning marketplace efficiency problems end-to-end — from problem formalisation and modelling to deployment and production monitoring — at a company operating global marketplaces across 48 countries. Requires 4–7 years of industry experience in data analytics, data science, or applied research (or PhD plus 2–4 years post-PhD), with deep expertise in causal inference, experimentation under interference, and modeling supply-demand dynamics as stochastic systems. The role demands strong collaboration with engineering teams to deliver production-grade decision logic. Onsite position with salary from EUR 70,700 gross annually (or from 471,000 RUB/month).

Description
Senior Applied Researcher will own well-defined marketplace efficiency problems end-to-end, from problem formalisation through modelling, deployment, and production monitoring. You will operate independently on complex problem areas, make explicit trade-offs between competing objectives, and partner closely with engineering to deliver robust, scalable solutions.
