Nordnet

Analytics Engineer

In short

Nordnet, a digital bank with over 1000 employees across Stockholm, Oslo, Helsinki, Copenhagen and Frankfurt, is hiring an Analytics Engineer for its Data & Insights team of 6 Analytics Engineers alongside Data Engineers, Data Scientists and Data Analysts. The role builds data structures in BigQuery, ensures data accuracy, and makes data accessible across the company, with a strong dbt/SQL transformation focus and use of Looker for BI. Requires 3+ years of relevant experience, strong SQL and dbt skills, engineering habits like version control and testing, and clear communication with business stakeholders; hybrid work in Stockholm.

About the role
Nordnet redefined the financial world as Europe's first digital bank. Now we're doing it again with AI at the heart of our strategy and data as the foundation it all rests on.
We're looking for an Analytics Engineer to join our Analytics Engineering team within Data & Insights. You'd be one of 6 Analytics Engineers in a department that also includes Data Engineers, Data Scientists and Data Analysts.
Your mission: turn raw information into data products the whole company can trust and act on. That work shapes how we grow, innovate and enhance our services.
We would love it if you feel excited about at least some of these statements:
•Designing and building elegant data structures in BigQuery.
•Ensuring data is accurate and reliable.
•Empowering others by making data accessible and understandable for everyone.
•Enjoying reaching out across teams to understand how the business works without waiting for requirements to arrive.
•Working out where AI genuinely helps in how data and insights are built and consumed and where it doesn't.
This is you
You're an empathetic problem solver who likes bringing ideas to the table and working in a way that makes team life easier. We believe most of these describe you:
•Have 3+ years of experience as an Analytics Engineer, BI Developer, Data Analyst or Data Engineer. We care more about the depth of that experience than the exact count.
•Skilled in designing and building data warehouses and analytics platforms.
•Strong SQL and hands-on experience with a modern transformation framework (dbt in our case) plus the engineering habits that come with it: version control, code review, testing.
•A clear communicator who enjoys translating complex tech concepts into plain language for business stakeholders and vice versa.
•Experience with a Business Intelligence tool (we use Looker).
•Use AI coding assistants in your day-to-day work with a feel for when to trust their output.
What we offer
•A front-row seat to how AI is reshaping product development - and the chance to impact it.
•Possibility of a hybrid workplace.
•A health promoting workplace with e.g., wellness allowance and various sports activities.
•Competitive salary and compensation.
You'll work in a friendly and engaged environment with a strong focus on innovation, learning, product development and technology.
Our culture is built and cared for, each day by everyone. We believe in a culture where every effort counts and where everyone is being recognized.
We have over 1000 employees in Stockholm, Oslo, Helsinki, Copenhagen and Frankfurt.
