Senior Analytics Engineer
Location: Madrid or Málaga, Spain (Hybrid: 4 days in office / 1 day remote)
As a Senior Analytics Engineer, you will be embedded directly within our domain structure. Operating under a Domain-Driven Design (DDD) model, you will bridge data and product engineering to build high-impact data products. This is an opportunity for an engineer who wants to move beyond "just coding." Sitting at the precise intersection of Product, Tech, and Finance, you will translate complex business needs into trustworthy data products. In the AI era, context is everything—we are looking for someone who speaks both "data" and "finance."
Responsibilities
•Own Data Product Strategy & Delivery: Partner with Treasury stakeholders to define requirements, design technical roadmaps, and lead data products from discovery through testing and final delivery.
•Balance Architecture & Execution: Seamlessly shift between high-level domain strategy and hands-on technical execution—equally comfortable architecting multi-domain models as you are shipping critical code in your IDE.
•Model with Engineering Excellence: Deliver reliable, scalable data models using modern practices including version control, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
•Proactive Monitoring & Governance: Design alerting frameworks and monitoring practices to detect anomalies and enforce data quality before outputs reach business decision-makers.
•Orchestration & Performance: Manage workflow orchestration using Apache Airflow (Cloud Composer) and continuously optimize SQL models for high performance.
•Champion Best Practices: Promote team-wide standards across dbt development, documentation, testing, and code reviews.
Requirements
•4+ years in Analytics Engineering, Analytics/Data Engineering, or Data Platform roles with a strong focus on modeling and dbt workflows.
•Advanced proficiency in SQL (building, testing, and optimizing complex transformations) and a deep understanding of dbt.
•Practical knowledge of financial mechanisms—you understand concepts like P&L, FX exposure, reconciliation, and cash management.
•Experience with (or a genuine curiosity for) DDD principles and how they shape team ownership and data architecture.
•A strong instinct for what makes a data product trustworthy, maintainable, and directly valuable to business users.
•Professional fluency in English. (Spanish is a plus!)
•Don't check every box? Apply anyway! If you are excited about this opportunity but your background doesn't match 100% of the requirements, you are still encouraged to apply.
