About: Pharmaceutical Technical University (PTU) was established in 2022 in accordance with a Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and a Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers. The University is located within the Innovative Research and Industrial Cluster — Tashkent Pharma Park.
Responsibilities:
•Develop and maintain local networks in ways that optimize performance
•Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems
•Running regular checks on network and data security
•Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
•Troubleshoot issues and outages
•Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
Requirements:
•BSc/BA in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline
•Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
•In-depth understanding of diverse computer systems and networks
•Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles
•Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation
•Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role
•Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
•Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
•Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
•Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Nice to have:
•Professional certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA))
