Responsibilities
•Design and build scalable backend services in various languages
•Architect microservices and contribute to the evolution of distributed systems
•Write code, lead technical design, and explore creative applications of AI
•Integrate AI and LLMs to automate workflows and reduce manual work for merchants
•Own performance and reliability across millions of monthly shipments
•Collaborate with Product and Design from discovery through delivery
•Write clean, tested, production-ready code and uphold the team's quality bar
Requirements
•5+ Years of backend development experience
•Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
•Solid understanding of system design, clean architecture, and engineering trade-offs
•Experience with microservices, async patterns, and distributed systems
•Logical, curious, and solution-oriented problem-solving mindset
•Fluent English, written and spoken
•Comfortable with ambiguity and fast-moving teams; able to take ownership, ask the right questions, and adapt opinions based on evidence
Nice to have
•Experience with SaaS products or platforms
•Hands-on experience across the listed tech stack
•Experience with AI/ML integration, LLMs, or intelligent automation
