What You'll Do
•Drive Cross-Squad Technical Strategy: Identify and solve systemic challenges that impact multiple product areas, ensuring architectural consistency across the R&D org.
•Lead Critical Executions: Own the "first mile" of our most complex initiatives, building core abstractions and proof-of-concepts that set the standard for follow-on development.
•Scale the Engineering Engine: Architect cloud-native, distributed systems (Docker/Kubernetes/Kafka) that solve for global concurrency and high-throughput reliability.
•Cultivate Engineering Excellence: Serve as a primary mentor for Senior and Staff engineers, expanding our interview bench and raising the talent bar through rigorous code and design reviews.
•Strategic Advisor: Partner with Engineering Leadership to align long-term technical debt reduction with immediate product goals.
What You'll Bring
•A Track Record of Leverage: 15+ years of professional engineering experience, with a proven ability to build tools, frameworks, or "Golden Paths" that have been adopted by multiple squads or an entire department.
•Mastery of the .NET Stack: Deep, current knowledge of C#, .NET Core, and the Microsoft ecosystem. You don't just write code; you understand the underlying abstractions that allow a .NET environment to scale.
•Architectural Stewardship: Extensive hands-on experience with distributed systems and cloud-native patterns (Docker/Kubernetes). You've successfully led at least one major architectural shift or complex cross-domain integration.
•A Multiplier Mindset: You enjoy making other engineers better. You have experience expanding interview benches, mentoring senior-level talent, and raising the collective bar for code reviews and design docs.
•Collaborative Translation: The ability to take a "murky" high-level goal from leadership and translate it into a clear, executable technical roadmap for one or more domains.
•Data-Driven Execution: You use performance profiling and system metrics to prove your architectural decisions and identify where the next bottleneck will be before it hits production.
•Education: B.S., M.S., or PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent high-level practical experience).
AI Skills & Tooling
We are leaning into the future of AI-assisted development and love to work with engineers who do the same:
•AI as a Teammate: Hands-on experience leveraging AI coding tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate development, improve code quality, and streamline debugging workflows.
•Engineering Judgment: Ability to critically evaluate and integrate AI-generated output, applying sound engineering judgment to ensure correctness, security, and maintainability.
•AI Integration: Experience integrating LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic) or AI services into production applications.
•A Growth Mindset: Eagerness to stay current with the rapidly evolving AI tooling landscape and champion best practices for AI-assisted development within the team.
What We Offer
•Flextime, recognition, and support for autonomous work: Flexible time off with ample learning and development opportunities to continue growing your career. Comprehensive onboarding program, leadership training for Titans at all levels, and other programs and events. Great work is rewarded through Bonusly, peer-nominated awards, and more.
