About the Role
You will design, develop, and operate backend services supporting card transactions, fraud detection, card lifecycle management, and developer-facing APIs. You will contribute to system architecture, write observable and well-tested code, collaborate with product, risk, finance, and compliance stakeholders, and improve reliability through code reviews and incident response.
Requirements
•6+ years of software engineering experience
•Experience building backend systems in a typed language
•Knowledge of distributed systems concepts including asynchronous processing, retries, observability, and eventual consistency
•Ability to balance correctness, performance, and maintainability
•Ability to collaborate across functions and communicate technical tradeoffs
Responsibilities
•Design and build backend services for card transaction processing, fraud detection, and card program management
•Contribute to system architecture and technical decisions focused on performance, fault tolerance, and maintainability
•Collaborate with product, risk, finance, and compliance stakeholders to deliver compliant financial systems
•Write clean, observable, and well-tested code in a service-oriented architecture
•Participate in code reviews, incident response, and reliability improvements
•Evolve engineering practices, tools, and system designs
