NVIDIA

Senior Software Architect, DSX AIR

In short

Senior Software Architect role defining the architecture of DSX Air, NVIDIA's infrastructure simulation platform for building digital twins of data centers. The role spans simulation frameworks, platform services, APIs, telemetry integration, and interoperability standards, working across hardware and software teams. Requires 8+ years in software architecture and technical leadership, deep distributed systems and cloud-native expertise, and hands-on experience with virtualization technologies like Kubernetes and hypervisors.

About the Role
NVIDIA is looking for a Senior Software Architect to help define and drive the future of AI Factory Digital Twin platforms through DSX Air, an infrastructure simulation platform that enables users to create digital twins of their data centers.
As a senior technical leader, you will define architectures, frameworks, APIs, and data models that connect real-world infrastructure with virtual environments for development, validation, planning, and operations.
You will define the software architecture connecting physical infrastructure with virtual environments for development, validation, planning, and operations. Working across hardware and software teams, you will enable developers to build and test solutions before next-generation hardware becomes available.
We seek an architect who combines platform vision with deep software expertise and carries technical decisions through implementation and delivery.
What you'll be doing
•Define DSX Air's architecture, including simulation frameworks, platform services, APIs, infrastructure models, and telemetry integration.
•Define shared frameworks, interfaces, and interoperability standards that connect Digital Twin initiatives across NVIDIA.
•Guide detailed software design, using hands-on prototypes and technical investigations to resolve critical challenges.
•Define simulation fidelity and validation requirements, with results validated by reference to actual physical setups.
•Partner with Engineering to integrate simulation into development and automated testing, enabling earlier issue discovery.
•Shape the platform roadmap and drive architectural decisions through delivery and adoption, balancing performance, scalability, security, and maintainability.
What we need to see
•MSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
•8+ years in software architecture and technical leadership, delivering complex distributed platforms.
•Deep software engineering expertise across distributed systems, platform frameworks, APIs, and secure cloud-native architectures.
•Proven understanding of virtualization and infrastructure technologies, including hypervisors, Kubernetes, and container networking.
•Understanding of large-scale data-center infrastructure and automation, with hands-on experience validating architectural choices through prototypes.
•Ability to translate platform strategy into practical engineering decisions, align teams, and drive execution.
•Clear technical communication, strong ownership, and attention to detail.
Ways to stand out from the crowd
•Experience developing simulation, emulation, or Digital Twin platforms.
•Hardware/software co-design experience enabling development before hardware availability.
•Deep understanding of AI factory compute and networking systems.
•Experience developing shared frameworks adopted across products and engineering teams.
•Experience validating simulation fidelity against physical systems.
