About
CloudLinux develops Imunify360, a suite of security products protecting millions of websites across the web hosting industry, and CloudLinux OS, an operating system used by a large share of the world's shared hosting. Its innovation team tests new product concepts and develops them into working MVPs.
Responsibilities
•Run the pipeline of product concepts, capture and rank ideas, document assumptions, and keep the backlog visible to the CPO and leadership
•Take funded concepts to working MVPs within a fixed timebox, with a named customer or design partner testing each one
•Define success criteria and report results using usage, conversion, willingness-to-pay, and support-load data
•Make go/no-go recommendations, hand proven products to product lines with a runbook and roadmap, and document lessons from concepts that do not succeed
•Report status and risks to the CPO weekly, assigning an owner and due date to every item
•Choose the fastest credible build approach for each concept and make trade-offs explicit
•Build prototypes and demo stands, and review designs and code for everything the team ships
•Keep MVPs production-worthy for real customer servers, including packaging, safe rollout, rollback, and observability from the first release
•Work with the architecture group and product teams to enable successful MVP adoption without a rewrite
•Lead a small distributed team through 1:1s, goal setting, performance reviews, and career development
•Define hiring profiles, conduct technical interviews, onboard, and mentor engineers
•Set working agreements for fast asynchronous work, including written decisions, public-by-default communication, and demos instead of status meetings
•Model and coach effective use of coding agents, including prompt specificity, review of agent-generated code, context provision, iteration, error recovery, and end-to-end task completion
•Use coding agents to build prototypes, generate test corpora, and draft customer-facing material
•Complete 1:1s with every team member and document the team's strengths and gaps within the first 30 days
•Review active concepts and their supporting evidence, and meet with sales, support, and at least three hosting customers within the first 30 days
•Take ownership of the concept pipeline and weekly status, publish success criteria for every active concept, and ship at least one prototype or demo within the first 60 days
•Present a ranked portfolio of bets for the next two quarters, agreed with the CPO, including a customer-evidence-backed go/no-go recommendation and a staffing recommendation within the first 90 days
