About the Role
We build consumer subscription apps (Prequel, Esti, GIO, Hula – App Store) used by millions worldwide, as well as our new web product, Vendy. Alongside in-app purchases, we actively acquire users through web funnels, where our traffic volumes are scaling rapidly. To support this growth, we are looking for a Payments Product Manager to take full ownership of our payment infrastructure.
Responsibilities
•Integrate and manage PSPs and orchestrators (Solidgate, Stripe, Primer), configuring MIDs, taxes, and backend webhooks.
•Build payment routing and cascading across acquirers, adding local acquiring and APMs for key regions (Tier-1, LATAM, EU).
•Keep chargebacks and dispute ratios below card scheme thresholds using deflection tools (Visa RDR, Ethoca, Verifi) and tuned anti-fraud rules.
•Automate refund flows and data enrichment to prevent disputes and effectively challenge chargebacks.
•Track approval rates, decline codes, and funnel drop-offs, setting up clear dashboards for key payment metrics.
•Run experiments across the checkout flow: payment method display, cascading logic, and smart retries.
•Own PSP relationships: negotiate processing rates, handle escalations, and monitor gateway uptime.
•Streamline payment-related workflows with Customer Support, Finance, and external tax agents.
Requirements
•3–5+ years of experience in payments (Product Manager, Payment Operations) within subscription-based products or high-volume web funnels.
•Strong understanding of card processing (acquiring, MIDs, routing, 3DS, decline codes) and card scheme rules (Visa/Mastercard monitoring programs).
•Hands-on experience with PSPs/orchestrators (Stripe, Solidgate, Primer), ability to read logs/webhooks, and proficiency in SQL, BI tools, and product analytics (Amplitude/Mixpanel).
•Fluent Russian (for internal team communication) and fluent English (for vendor negotiations and business reviews).
Nice to Have
•Experience with PayPal and regional APMs across diverse markets.
Benefits
•Professional development – paid training and courses, online/offline lectures, workshops and trainings. Employees take part in all major IT meetups.

•Career development – review conducted every 6 months, with results monitoring and performance support.
•Balance between work and personal life – ability to conveniently build your work schedule, take vacations and days off without a bunch of approvals and bureaucracy.
•Health – health insurance compensation.
•Office space – a cool office in Montenegro, with comfortable workplaces and lounge areas.
•Relocation – full package of documents for those ready to move to Montenegro, plus help with obtaining a residence permit.
•Prequel+ – premium access to the entire Prequel product.
