Responsibilities
•Own the app architecture, state management, and navigation for the React Native/Expo app; track startup time, frame rate, memory, and battery usage
•Simplify a product that combines music, video, image generation, editing, collaboration, and social networking in one app
•Build multiplayer features, including presence, shared session state, and conflict resolution
•Build background and offline systems for persistent jobs, uploads and downloads, local projects, and sync
•Develop mobile audio features, including background playback, system controls, Bluetooth/AirPlay, and multi-track playback
•Build the social layer with media-heavy feeds, audio previews, sharing, and push notifications with deep links
•Use Swift and Kotlin where necessary and own the runtime boundary between native audio and Hermes
•Own delivery and measurement, including OTA updates, releases, store review, attribution, and a typed event layer
Requirements
•Experience with large production React Native and Expo apps, including profiling frame drops, memory, and startup
•Enough Swift and Kotlin experience to build natively
•Runtime knowledge of Hermes, JSI, and native modules
•Experience with state management architecture and background and offline mobile systems
•Experience with mobile audio, including background audio sessions, playback controls, and interruptions
•Backend awareness; knowledge of deep links, attribution, and analytics; AI-native experience using coding agents
•5+ years of professional experience
