About the Role
You will design structural parts and assemblies, integrate actuator, sensing, and electronics subsystems, and validate designs through analysis and testing. You will create drawings, drive designs through production, lead failure analysis and corrective actions, and travel internationally as needed.
Requirements
•2+ years of structural or mechanical engineering experience at a high-tech company
•Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
•Expertise in 3D CAD, preferably CATIA
•Experience owning structural design from requirements through validation
•Understanding of structural analysis, FEA, and material selection
•Experience shipping hardware at scale, working with contract manufacturers, and supporting NPI builds
•Cross-functional communication and collaboration skills
•Ability to operate in a high-ambiguity environment
Responsibilities
•Design structural parts and assemblies in 3D CAD
•Integrate actuator, sensing, and electronics subsystems into hand structures
•Perform structural analysis, tolerance stack-ups, and FEA
•Generate 2D drawings using GD&T in accordance with ASME Y14.5
•Prototype, build, and test components for structural performance and reliability
•Partner with supply chain, contract manufacturers, and manufacturing engineers through NPI and production
•Lead failure analysis and corrective actions for manufacturing, testing, and field issues
•Communicate proactively across cross-functional stakeholders
•Travel internationally as needed
