Quantum Systems

Master Thesis - Advanced Sensor Processing for Navigation (m/f/d)

In short

This is a Master's thesis position within the Navigation Team at a company building autonomous eVTOL drone systems, focused on applying data-driven and machine learning methods to improve navigation robustness using real-world flight data. The thesis student will analyse sensor and flight-test data, develop and validate approaches in simulation, and integrate results into the existing navigation framework, working closely with Navigation, Software, and Flight-Test teams. It requires a student currently studying robotics, aerospace, computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics or a related field, with practical experience in machine learning, signal processing, state estimation, or autonomous systems, and fluent English communication.

About the Role
As Master thesis student, you will be a key part of our Navigation Team, exploring advanced data-driven approaches to enhance the robustness and reliability of autonomous aircrafts. Together with our world-class team, you will take an empowering role: pushing the boundaries of drone technologies.
You will be working closely with stakeholders from the Navigation, Software and Flight-Test departments to develop and evaluate innovative methods using real-world flight data. By enhancing the robustness of our navigation system in challenging environments, your master's thesis will make a direct contribution to the autonomous capabilities of Quantum Systems' aircraft.
