Responsibilities
•Lead and develop a team of Integration Managers, fostering a high-performance, collaborative, growth-oriented culture
•Oversee merchant onboarding and integration projects, ensuring consistent execution, quality, and stakeholder satisfaction
•Act as an escalation point for complex integration issues and support problem-solving and technical decisions
•Standardize and continuously improve integration processes, playbooks, and documentation
•Own team-level metrics and KPIs, evaluate performance, and monitor merchant satisfaction
•Plan resources, distribute workloads, and prioritize integration projects
•Lead strategic merchant integration initiatives
•Lead end-to-end onboarding and API implementation through successful go-lives
•Explain complex technical concepts to business stakeholders
•Coordinate with cross-functional teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve integration blockers
•Maintain expertise in Boku's payment APIs and platform capabilities
•Relay merchant feedback to the Product team and advocate for scalable solutions
•Plan and lead recurring integration meetings with internal and external stakeholders
•Identify, communicate, and mitigate project risks, delays, and technical gaps
•Advise merchants on solution design for scalable and efficient integrations
•Maintain project documentation in internal systems and tools
•Introduce scalable process improvements, automation, or tools to improve integration efficiency and quality
•Develop the team through structured mentoring, skills advancement, and a culture of continuous improvement and ownership
•Meet integration project deadlines and resolve issues without compromising quality
•Prioritize, delegate, and manage multiple high-impact initiatives in line with business goals
•Deliver robust, scalable, and secure integration solutions
•Minimize post-launch issues through thorough validation and proactive technical planning
•Maintain comprehensive, accurate, and up-to-date project documentation
•Provide transparent and timely reporting on integration progress, risks, and issue resolutions
•Communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders and collaborate across functions to resolve blockers
•Handle evolving project requirements with minimal disruption to timelines and outcomes
•Take ownership of identifying, escalating, and resolving technical and operational risks across integration projects
Requirements
•At least 7 years of experience in technical project management, solutions engineering, or integration management, ideally in fintech or payments
•At least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role, with responsibility for leading teams, owning technical outcomes, and engaging cross-functionally
•Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing technical teams
•Ability to foster accountability, innovation, and collaboration
•Track record of managing large API-based projects in the payment industry
•Experience working directly with merchants, payment providers, and businesses across different regions
•Proficiency with API testing tools such as Postman and Swagger
•Log analysis and troubleshooting skills for complex issues
•Stakeholder alignment, negotiation, and expectation management skills
•Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
•Self-motivated and able to work in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with frequent changes
•Comfortable collaborating across time zones and functions
•Strong technical project management skills to oversee, prioritize, and delegate multiple projects and initiatives
•Quick learner with analytical and problem-solving skills for new technologies
•Deep understanding of payment industry standards, ideally local payment methods, and compliance requirements
