Requires an engineering degree, 4–10 years of relevant mining/asset-intensive industry experience including at least 3 years in maintenance planning, hands-on CMMS/EAM experience (SAP PM, Maximo, PRONTO, Ellipse), and professional Bahasa Indonesia proficiency for daily collaboration with Indonesian-speaking teams.

About the Role
Accenture is seeking an experienced maintenance planning professional to support operational transformation and capability-building programs within large-scale mining operations in Papua.
You will work directly with maintenance planners, supervisors, and operational leaders to improve maintenance planning and scheduling, strengthen work management disciplines, and build sustainable client capabilities. The role combines hands-on maintenance expertise, management consulting, coaching, and data-driven performance improvement across mobile equipment and fixed plant environments.
Key Responsibilities
•Assess and improve maintenance planning and scheduling practices across mobile mining equipment and fixed plant assets, identifying opportunities to improve safety, equipment availability, productivity, and cost performance.
•Strengthen end-to-end maintenance work management, including work identification, prioritization, job planning, backlog management, scheduling, execution readiness, closure, and continuous improvement.
•Coach planners, schedulers, and supervisors through structured classroom and on-the-job capability development, demonstrating practical planning techniques and embedding them into daily routines.
•Develop and implement maintenance planning standards, playbooks, job planning templates, scheduling routines, governance mechanisms, and training materials.
•Apply maintenance data and KPIs such as backlog health, schedule compliance, planned versus unplanned work, preventive maintenance compliance, and equipment availability to identify gaps and measure improvement.
•Facilitate workshops, coaching sessions, performance reviews, and problem-solving discussions with maintenance and operational stakeholders.
•Track capability-development milestones and project benefits, identify adoption gaps, and adjust interventions to ensure improvements are sustained beyond the program.
•Collaborate with Accenture and client teams to align maintenance improvements with broader Operational Excellence, reliability, and asset performance objectives.
Required Qualifications
•Bachelor's degree (S1) in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mining Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
•4–10 years of relevant experience in mining, mineral processing, or another asset-intensive industry, including at least 3 years of hands-on maintenance planning or scheduling experience.
•Practical experience with maintenance planning activities such as job scoping, resource requirements, materials and spare parts planning, backlog management, scheduling, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance.
•Hands-on experience using a CMMS/EAM platform such as SAP Plant Maintenance (SAP PM), IBM Maximo, PRONTO, Ellipse, or equivalent in a maintenance planning environment.
•Experience coaching, mentoring, training, or developing maintenance planners, schedulers, supervisors, or operational teams.
•Professional proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is required because the role involves daily coaching and collaboration with Indonesian-speaking maintenance teams.
•Willingness and ability to work on-site in Papua for the duration of the project assignment.
Preferred Qualifications
•Experience supporting mobile mining fleets, fixed plant, mineral processing facilities, smelters, oil and gas facilities, or other heavy industrial assets.
•Practical understanding of preventive maintenance, component life management, shutdown planning, maintenance strategy, reliability improvement, and work execution standards.
•Experience applying maintenance performance measures such as schedule compliance, PM compliance, backlog aging, wrench time, MTBF, MTTR, availability, and planned versus unplanned work.
•Experience in maintenance transformation, Operational Excellence, continuous improvement, or workforce capability-building programs.
•Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) or other relevant maintenance, reliability, or asset management certification is advantageous.
