About us
Avana d.o.o. · Belgrade, Serbia
Office-based at Ivankovačka 6, with client visits around Belgrade as needed
Working hours: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Avana provides managed IT support and business internet services. We're looking for someone who enjoys figuring out why things aren't working, whether it's a laptop that can't connect to Wi-Fi or a router that needs to be set up for a new internet connection.
This role is a good fit if you're early in your IT career, already have some hands-on experience and want to build stronger networking skills. We also welcome more experienced candidates who enjoy working directly with users and getting hands-on with equipment.
What you'll do
•Help business users with everyday issues involving Windows PCs, email, printers, Wi-Fi and VPN access.
•Set up workstations, peripherals and user accounts, and help users get started with their equipment.
•Configure client routers for new internet connections, verify that the service works on site and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
•Set up and troubleshoot switches and wireless access points.
•Keep support tickets up to date, explain next steps to clients and bring in a colleague when an issue needs deeper investigation.
What you'll bring
•Hands-on experience troubleshooting Windows computers and common hardware or software issues. That experience can come from work, an internship or your own projects.
•A working understanding of IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, NAT and Wi-Fi, and the ability to configure a basic router and check that the connection works.
•A clear, patient way of communicating with users and a methodical approach to troubleshooting.
•Good written and spoken English is required. You should be comfortable reading technical documentation, writing support updates and speaking with users in English.
•Availability to work from our Belgrade office and visit client sites around the city as needed.
•Experience with MikroTik RouterOS, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Active Directory or a help desk ticketing system is a plus.
Working at Avana
You'll work on both sides of a client's setup, from the internet connection and office network to the devices and accounts people use every day. You'll get hands-on experience with client installations and have colleagues to turn to when an issue needs a second pair of eyes.
A company vehicle is available for client visits. The role has no on-call rota. Any occasional work outside regular hours is agreed in advance with the team and paid.
