Head of Operations – Global Accounts (Fintech)

In short

Head of Operations role at a Sharia-compliant, AI-native neobank, running the operations engine for a USD-first, stablecoin-backed global banking product across 18 markets. Covers KYC, payments, settlement reconciliation, cross-border corridors and partner management. Requires 5–8 years in neobank/remittance/cross-border payments operations, with experience owning reconciliation and partner SLAs, in a small, high-leverage team where scaling comes through better process design rather than headcount growth.

The world's first Sharia-compliant, AI-native bank is gearing up to launch and is building out its product suite. One of them needs an operator.
Mal is hiring a Head of Operations – Global Accounts.
This role will own and run the operations engine behind a USD-first, stablecoin-backed global banking product which will span across 18 markets. You'll own its operational stack end to end: KYC, payments, settlement reconciliation, cross-border corridors, and every partner underneath.
This is a small-team, high-leverage role. Operations are measured by what runs without adding people. So this is one for the systems-builders, the people whose instinct when volume rises is to design a better process, not grow the team.
You'll fit if you've got 5–8 years in neobank / remittance / cross-border payments ops, have owned reconciliation and partner SLAs, and treat performance as a calculation, not an opinion. Positions here at Mal are demanding. The company moves fast, the bar is high, and expectations are high. If that energises you rather than exhausts you, you'll thrive here.
