ASTERIUM operates a crypto exchange and requires a finance analytics function covering exchange economics, digital assets, liquidity, treasury, and on-chain activity.
What you will do
•Build and lead the finance analytics function and act as a business partner to the CEO, CFO, Board, Treasury, Accounting, Risk, Data Engineering, and non-finance teams.
•Own the bottom-up annual operating plan and run monthly or quarterly rolling forecasts across spot, derivatives, OTC, staking/earn, fiat on/off-ramp, listings, card, and payments.
•Maintain bull, base, and bear scenarios with triggers, cost levers, cash-runway impact, market-crash, bank-run, and counterparty-failure stress tests.
•Produce management and Board reporting with variance analysis, forward-looking commentary, exchange KPI frameworks, revenue analytics, unit economics, and marketing ROI.
•Evaluate product launches, token listings, market entries, partnerships, M&A, major spending, pricing, VIP tiers, and market-maker incentives using ROI, payback, and post-investment analysis.
•Partner with Treasury, Accounting, Risk, and Data Engineering on cash, stablecoin and crypto balances, regulatory capital, proof-of-reserves reconciliation, and a finance data warehouse joining ledger/ERP, matching-engine, wallet, and payments data.
Requirements
•8–12+ years of experience in financial analytics, strategic finance, or investment banking/consulting, including at least 3–4 years leading a team.
•Experience in a crypto exchange, broker, fintech, payments company, bank, or trading venue, with a strong understanding of exchange revenue sources including trading fees, spreads, funding, listing, staking, custody, and stablecoin yield.
•Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related field.
•Expertise in driver-based, multi-scenario, multi-currency, and multi-entity financial modelling.
•Strong SQL and hands-on experience with Power BI and Python.
•Solid knowledge of financial statements, including accounting treatment for digital assets and customer crypto liabilities.
•Ability to explain complex financial information clearly to the CEO, Board, and non-finance teams in written and presentation formats.
•Fluent English and Russian.
•Experience with planning and ERP tools, on-chain data tools such as Dune, Nansen, Glassnode, or Chainalysis, and blockchain explorers.
•Experience or exposure to proof-of-reserves, VARA or NAPP licensing, regulatory capital reporting, and building a finance analytics function from scratch in a high-growth environment.
