Saab

Group Financial Controller,

In short

This Group Financial Controller role at Saab, a leading defense and security company, involves group consolidation and financial reporting under IFRS as part of a six-person Group Financial and Sustainability Reporting team. The position requires several years of qualified accounting/financial reporting experience in a large company or as an auditor, an academic degree in economics, and fluent Swedish and English. It is based in Linköping (with Stockholm as an alternative) and requires passing a security clearance process.

About the Role
Do you want to work with group consolidation and financial reporting in an international environment where complex questions meet technical development and socially important missions? At Saab you get the opportunity to combine your specialist expertise in accounting with an overall perspective on the group's financial reporting – while also contributing to developing processes, ways of working and quality.
We are now looking for a Group Financial Controller for our Group Financial and Sustainability Reporting team, where you will play an important role in strengthening and further developing the group's reporting.
In this role you become part of Group Finance and work with issues that are highly significant for the group's financial transparency, analysis and decision-making. You contribute to ensuring that our accounting and reporting maintain high quality and comply with applicable regulations, while also helping to develop efficient and sustainable reporting processes.
You will become part of a competent team of six employees who together are responsible for the group's financial reporting, including sustainability reporting. Here you get to work closely with engaged colleagues and partners, share knowledge and contribute your expertise. We value an unpretentious approach where we help each other, challenge established ways of working and together find solutions to complex issues. You report to the Head of Group Financial and Sustainability Reporting.
Responsibilities
•Be responsible for parts of, and contribute to, the consolidation of the group's financial reports in accordance with IFRS and other relevant regulations.
•Drive and further develop reporting processes with a focus on quality, efficiency and continuous improvements.
•Play a central role in the preparation of internal reporting as well as Saab's annual reports and interim reports.
•Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and management teams, to ensure accurate, transparent and reliable reporting.
•Contribute your accounting expertise on complex issues and help develop both the team's and the group's ways of working.
We believe the best results are created together. That's why we are looking for someone who combines high quality and professionalism with curiosity, willingness to collaborate and an unpretentious attitude – someone who likes to share their knowledge, is open to others' perspectives and rolls up their sleeves when needed.
The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to the security regulations in force at the time. For positions where Saab has requirements for security clearance, this may, where applicable, entail requirements regarding citizenship.
The place of employment for this position is Linköping, but Stockholm is also an option.
Your Profile
We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in financial reporting and accounting who enjoys working with complex issues in an international, publicly listed group. You are analytical and quality-conscious, but also pragmatic and solution-oriented. You have the ability to see both the details and the whole, and you like to translate your knowledge into concrete improvements.
To succeed in the role, we see that you have:
•An academic degree in economics/business.
•Several years of experience in qualified accounting and financial reporting in a larger company, or experience as an auditor focused on larger companies.
•A proactive and solution-oriented way of working, with the ability to quickly analyze issues, identify solutions and drive the work forward.
•The ability to work independently and take responsibility for your deliverables, while also enjoying collaboration and contributing to the team's shared results.
•An unpretentious approach, willingly sharing knowledge, helping colleagues, and being ready to take on both large and small tasks when the situation requires it.
•Good communication skills and fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written, to be able to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders in an international environment.
It is advantageous if you have experience with group consolidation, IFRS, system implementations, group reporting systems, project accounting, IAS 19, tax reporting or project management.
Above all, we are looking for someone who wants to contribute their expertise, develop together with others, and help create even better conditions for Saab's financial reporting. With us you get a role with a large network of contacts, varied issues and the opportunity to influence how we work – in a team where collaboration, engagement and an unpretentious attitude are important parts of everyday life.
