ArcticBlu Capital is looking for an experienced Senior Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic development team. You will design, build and own production-grade fintech solutions end to end, from backend services and data models to modern web and mobile interfaces, work closely with the Product Owner and stakeholders, and help raise the engineering bar through code reviews and mentoring of junior developers and interns.
Responsibilities
•Design and develop clean, well-tested and optimized code in Java and Kotlin
•Build backend services and REST APIs using the Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Security and more)
•Develop modern, responsive web application interfaces using React
•Develop and support cross-platform mobile applications using React Native
•Implement components, business logic and API integrations using JavaScript and TypeScript
•Design, migrate and optimize PostgreSQL database structures
•Containerize applications using Docker
•Work with AWS Cloud services (CloudFormation, ECS, ECR, RDS and more) to deploy, operate and support applications
•Introduce and maintain Unit and Integration Testing
•Lead and participate in Code Review processes
•Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and engineering standards
•Take part in Agile ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Grooming, Daily Stand-up, Review and Retrospective
•Contribute to architecture and technical design decisions
•Mentor junior developers and interns, sharing modern software engineering practices
•Switch flexibly between Backend, Frontend, Mobile and Infrastructure work depending on current project needs
•Quickly pick up new technologies and business domains
•Collaborate actively with the team to ensure timely, high-quality delivery
•Take on additional technical and operational tasks when needed
The Senior Full Stack Developer is expected to be ready to get involved and help the team resolve any operational or technical task necessary for timely, high-quality project delivery.
Requirements
•3+ years of professional experience in software development, including hands-on full stack work
•Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
•Strong command of Java and/or Kotlin and the Spring ecosystem
•Solid experience with React and TypeScript
•Good knowledge of PostgreSQL and SQL performance basics
•Experience with Docker, CI/CD and AWS
•Strong testing mindset, clean architecture and API design
•Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms
•Ability to independently research and solve complex problems
•Analytical thinking and attention to detail
•Eagerness to learn new technologies quickly
•Strong communication and teamwork skills
•High sense of ownership and responsibility
•Ability to mentor others
•Fluent English (written and spoken)
Nice to have
•React Native is a strong plus
•Georgian is an advantage
•Experience in fintech, asset management or trading systems
•Familiarity with security, compliance and audit-friendly engineering practices
•Experience with event-driven architectures or message queues
