About the Role
Our investment banking client is undertaking a major technology build-out across Capital Markets, alongside an agentic AI rollout, and is looking for a strong DevOps Engineer to join its Core Platforms team within Global Markets. You'll help build and run the Kubernetes environments underpinning a large-scale distributed technology estate, working closely with engineering teams to deliver reliable, scalable production infrastructure.
Responsibilities
•Set up, configure and maintain Kubernetes environments
•Manage production platforms, supporting reliability, scalability and availability
•Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and containerised application issues
•Support engineering teams as new services and platform capabilities are introduced
Requirements
•Previous experience working within investment banking
•Experience supporting large-scale distributed systems in complex production environments
•Strong hands-on Kubernetes expertise, including setting up and managing production clusters
•A strong DevOps or platform engineering background
•Proven troubleshooting skills and the ability to take ownership of critical infrastructure
•Strong commercial experience using AI coding tools as part of your day-to-day engineering workflow
•Proven ability to use AI to build, test, debug and deliver code, scripts or infrastructure automation
•Ability to critically review AI-generated outputs for correctness, security and maintainability
•Hands-on delivery experience beyond personal projects or occasional experimentation
