Responsibilities
•Design and implement unified logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting systems using Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and OpenTelemetry
•Establish service level objectives, dashboards, and alerting frameworks for proactive incident response
•Create internal tools that help engineering teams instrument services, diagnose issues, and manage their monitoring needs
•Troubleshoot production issues and drive long-term remediation through root cause analysis and improved signal coverage
•Participate in on-call duty
•Contribute to reliable delivery pipelines and maintain reusable templates using GitLab CI, Flux, and Helm
•Integrate observability and delivery tooling with Kubernetes and cloud services
•Collaborate across teams to standardise instrumentation practices and observability standards
•Mentor colleagues
Requirements
•5+ years in DevOps, Platform, or Build Engineering, specialising in large-scale CI/CD and developer workflow optimization
•Proven observability design experience
•Strong scripting skills with Bash, Python, or Golang
•Experience designing and operating production CI/CD pipelines
•Knowledge of modern build and packaging, including Docker, container optimisation, caching, and artifact management
•Experience with cross-functional initiatives, writing shared libraries, and establishing practices and standards
Nice to have
