50Hertz advances the integration of renewable energy and supports grid expansion by providing IT infrastructure and networks. Its international IT infrastructure team operates and develops highly available on-premise compute platforms.
Aufgaben
•Design, standardize, and strategically develop compute platforms, including virtualization, x86 server infrastructure, and management systems, in line with architecture, security, compliance, and technology roadmap requirements
•Assess, review, and audit technical solutions, and identify improvements to performance, availability, scalability, security, and automation
•Advise and share knowledge across the IT organization on architecture, automation, and operating standards
•Develop the GitOps- and Infrastructure-as-Code-based operating platform, automation solutions, and self-service solutions using Ansible, PowerCLI, Python, PowerShell, and REST APIs
•Implement, administer, and develop compute infrastructure across zones, ensuring secure, stable, and highly available platform operations
•Plan, conduct, and document disaster recovery and business continuity measures
•Conduct capacity, performance, and availability analyses
•Analyze and resolve complex incidents sustainably, and participate in incident, problem, and change management, including 3rd-level support and 24/7 on-call duty
Anforderungen
•Completed degree or vocational training in business informatics, computer science, or a comparable field
•Several years of experience designing, operating, and developing compute, virtualization, and infrastructure platforms, with strong knowledge of IT architecture and platform design
•Extensive experience with VMware environments, x86 server hardware, and compute platform performance, capacity, and lifecycle management
•In-depth understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), GitOps, and modern automation concepts, with practical experience using Python, PowerShell, Ansible, PowerCLI, and REST APIs
•Knowledge of backup, restore, disaster recovery, security, compliance, and governance requirements
•Independent and proactive working style
•Very good German (C1) and good English (B2)
