About
We are surrounded by innovative objects that are increasingly autonomous, connected and intelligent. Behind them, there is sometimes a little Davidson! Whether it's piloting a plane, making a car autonomous, geolocating a suitcase in an airport or connecting a robot to the cloud, our embedded software engineers help make the world of machines smarter. Whatever path you choose at Davidson, we need you if you know that C is not just the chemical symbol for carbon and that multithread, mutex and semaphore are not Marvel heroes.
Responsibilities
•Design and implement software in C for 8- to 32-bit embedded targets
•Adapt to the constraints specific to the application (real-time, low power, safety-critical systems…)
•Get to grips with new microcontrollers, with or without an RTOS
•Ideally, be able to work at lower layers: read a data sheet, investigate a register…
•Debug, investigate and test corner cases to understand why it works on paper but not on the board
•Put pen to paper to document your work (architecture document, specification, test procedure…)
•Share your expertise and experience with the Dav' community (internal projects, support, training…)
Requirements
•A five-year degree
•English: read and write (without Google Translate), and speak
•A passion for embedded systems (Passion >> Skill for us: the former develops less quickly than the latter)
•Proven analytical and synthesis skills
