What you will do
•Design, maintain, and evolve data models and databases for scientific and business requirements.
•Build and optimize Python-based pipelines to ingest, transform, validate, and organize scientific data.
•Manage PostgreSQL and Snowflake infrastructure and extend models for new data sources and modalities.
•Improve data quality, accessibility, reliability, and scalability through validation, monitoring, and operational optimization.
•Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and scientific researchers to support computational research and AI-driven applications.
Requirements
•More than 6 years of professional experience.
•Hands-on experience in data modeling, database design, architecture, and maintenance.
•Strong PostgreSQL experience, including database structure, SQL queries, and performance optimization.
•Practical experience with Snowflake and modern data warehousing concepts.
•Proficiency in Python for data processing, pipeline development, and automation.
•Understanding of data engineering principles, including data quality, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
•Ability to troubleshoot data-related issues and collaborate effectively with software engineers, data scientists, and scientific researchers.
•English: B2+

•API design and integration experience.
•AWS or other cloud platform experience.
•Docker and containerized application experience.
•Kubernetes and container orchestration knowledge.
•GitOps and infrastructure automation experience.
•Experience developing or integrating AI-powered applications.
•Academic or professional background in life sciences, chemistry, computational biology, bioinformatics, or drug discovery.
