About the Role
We are Remobi - we help businesses scale and innovate through high-performing, remote nearshore tech teams. We're hiring a Data Engineer to join a global energy technology leader, owning the data pipelines that power AI across its finance and commercial functions. The first use case, a commercial forecasting agent, is already live with more business areas waiting to onboard and two greenfield use cases to follow. You'll work standalone alongside the product lead and AI engineers on an existing Snowflake, Airflow and dbt platform.
Responsibilities
•Turn cost planning and forecasting needs into clear data requirements
•Build pipelines per business area from SAP finance tables and files (MS Project, Primavera, contract PDFs)
•Make source-to-target mapping configurable so new SAP systems and business units onboard via a mapping
•Migrate pipelines to the company's central data platform
•Add data quality tests, SAP reconciliation, lineage and monitoring
•Expose curated data to the AI agents
Requirements
•5+ years of data engineering experience, with strong SQL and Python
•Expert-level Snowflake skills
•Production experience with dbt (models, tests, snapshots, incremental loads) and Airflow
•Metadata-driven data modelling across multiple source systems
•Data quality and observability experience, plus AWS (S3, IAM, EKS basics) and Git-based CI/CD
•Strong communication skills in English and comfort working independently with business stakeholders
Nice to Have
•SAP PS/FI/CO data such as WBS elements, cost postings and plan vs. actual (preferred)
