Responsibilities
•Develop and maintain reliable, scalable data models, transformations, and pipelines across BigQuery and dbt
•Integrate data from databases, APIs, file feeds, and external providers
•Translate reporting needs into accurate, well-tested, and documented datasets
•Implement validation, checks, and monitoring to detect data problems early
•Ensure daily data arrives correctly and on schedule
Requirements
•In-depth SQL knowledge, including writing and debugging complex queries and understanding underlying data
•Substantial production experience with ELT pipelines, data integration, and data modelling
•Deep understanding of data quality assurance principles and data warehouse design
•Reliability and independence, with the ability to resolve data-related issues and see tasks through to completion
Nice to have
•Designing and building data models in dbt
•Using Python to move and integrate data across GCP services
•Querying and working in BigQuery or a comparable cloud warehouse
•Star-schema design and semantic modelling for Power BI
•Version control and CI/CD workflows (GitLab is a plus)
•Experience with brokerage, banking, asset-management, payments, or fintech data
