TV4

Data Analyst till TV4

In short

TV4's Nordic analytics team is hiring a Data Analyst to turn business questions from content, news, and sales/commercial teams into clear analyses and recommendations, using SQL, dbt, Snowflake, Google Analytics 4, and BI tools like Power BI and Data Studio. The role requires about 3-5 years of qualified analytical experience, fluent Swedish and English, and comfort working independently from question to insight. Based in Stockholm with mostly office presence (4 days/week); no visa sponsorship or relocation support is offered.

Why is this role important?
Data plays a key role in how we understand our audiences, develop our services, and make business decisions. We work with everything from viewer behavior and content performance to customer base development, pricing, and subscription packaging. To make well-grounded decisions, we need analysts who can go beyond the numbers and help the business understand what they actually mean.
As a Data Analyst, you work closely with different parts of the business within content, news, and sales to translate business questions into clear analyses and recommendations. You combine hands-on analytical work with business understanding, while also contributing to how we use AI in our analytics work.
You will likely thrive in this role if you
•Enjoy taking on a question that isn't yet fully defined, understanding what the business really wants to know, and finding answers that help them make decisions.
•Like exploring data, identifying patterns, and understanding why things happen.
•Think it's just as important that your analyses are understood and used as that the numbers are correct.
•Are comfortable working independently, from defining the question to presenting your conclusions.
•Naturally ask follow-up questions and challenge assumptions instead of jumping straight into analysis.
•Enjoy collaborating with people from different parts of the business and getting into their challenges.
•Are curious about how AI can change the way we work with data and have already started experimenting with AI tools.
Your responsibilities
As a Data Analyst, you will:
•Work closely with stakeholders in content, news, and commercial & growth to understand their questions, turn them into concrete analysis tasks, and deliver clear answers and recommendations.
•Use SQL and statistical methods to explore and analyze data in our data platform, mainly through data models built with dbt. You identify patterns, explain changes, and answer both ongoing and business-driven analysis questions.
•Analyze digital user behavior using Google Analytics, for example to understand user journeys, conversion flows, and engagement on TV4 Play and MTV Katsomo.
•Analyze the development of the customer base, pricing, and subscription packaging to understand customer behavior, identify opportunities, and support commercial decisions.
•Own and maintain a small number of reports and dashboards in Google Data Studio for Fotbollskanalen and tv4.se.
•Present analyses in a way that clarifies the conclusions - not just what happened, but why it matters and what actions the business should consider.
•Proactively identify trends, opportunities, and potential problems in the data and alert relevant stakeholders to them.
•Collaborate with other analysts, Analytics Engineers, and Product Managers to ensure consistency and uniformity in data and metrics.
•Use and explore AI tools to make analysis and development work more efficient, investigate data, and improve how insights are produced.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone with about 3-5 years of experience in qualified analytical work, preferably in a digital or data-driven business. You are used to independently driving analyses from question to insight and recommendation.
You are an analyst who enjoys working with both data and people. You feel confident taking on business questions that aren't yet fully defined, breaking them down, and finding the right way to answer them.
You understand that good analysis is about more than producing correct numbers. It's about asking the right questions, understanding the business context, and communicating insights in a way that helps others make decisions.
You are curious, analytical, and comfortable questioning assumptions, including your own. You work independently but also appreciate collaboration and sharing your knowledge.
You communicate fluently in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written, as you collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders across our Nordic organization.
We'd like you to have experience with:
•SQL, including exploratory analysis and working with large datasets, preferably in Snowflake.
•Google Analytics (GA4) and analysis of digital user behavior.
•Data models and how to work with data in a modern data warehouse. Experience with dbt is an advantage.
•BI and reporting tools, preferably Power BI and Data Studio.
•Statistical analysis, including the ability to use relevant statistical methods, interpret results, and draw reliable conclusions from data.
•Translating business questions into analyses and communicating results to people without a technical background.
It is an advantage, but not a requirement, if you have experience with:
•Subscription-based businesses, including customer base analysis, conversion, customer churn, pricing, or packaging.
•Digital media, streaming, or other consumer-facing digital services.
You have also started using AI tools in your analytical work and are interested in developing further in this area. We don't expect you to be an AI expert, but we'd like you to have practical experience and curiosity about how AI can improve and streamline analytical work.
