Better Collective

CRM Technical Lead

In short

This role is the technical authority for Better Collective's Salesforce platform, leading a development and administration team of about eight people mainly based in Serbia, while being based in Copenhagen. It covers system architecture, integration patterns, code quality standards, and coaching developers, requiring 7+ years hands-on Salesforce experience (Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flow) with at least 3 years leading a team. A Salesforce Architect certification and experience with Salesforce DevOps (CI/CD, code review, environment strategy) are required, along with fluent English and willingness to travel regularly to Serbia.

About the role
As CRM Technical Lead you are the technical authority for our Salesforce platform and the systems around it. You report to the Head of Revenue Systems and lead the development and administration team day to day, around eight people mainly based in Serbia. The role is based in Copenhagen.
Your main responsibilities
•Design the system architecture, integration patterns and cross-system data model, with a named source of truth for every object
•Decide whether a technical design is ready to build, or needs more work first
•Write down architecture decisions, what was chosen, what was rejected and why, so they are still readable in twelve months
•Manage, coach and develop the developers and administrators
•Set the standard for code quality, code review and how changes move between environments
•Remove single points of knowledge, so nobody is the only person who understands something critical
•Push back when a proposed build is over- or under-engineered for the actual need
•7+ years hands-on with the Salesforce platform, including Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flow and integrations, with at least 3 leading a development team
•You have designed integration architecture across more than one system, such as CRM, ERP and data platforms
•You have set up or run Salesforce DevOps: source control, CI/CD, code review and environment strategy
•A Salesforce Application or System Architect certification, or similar
•Fluent English
Who you are
•You thrive in a busy and vibrant environment
•You have strong attention to detail
•You are eager to learn and not afraid to ask questions and take on new challenges
•You are process-oriented and won't be satisfied if the methodology is inefficient
•Developers follow you because you can do the work, not because of your title
•You can explain a technical decision to non-technical leadership without hiding behind jargon
•You are happy to travel to Serbia regularly to work alongside the team
