Fenwick Ryan

Cloud security engineer for SSE platforms

In short

This is a client-facing Cloud Security Engineer role at a specialist cybersecurity business, helping customers improve their use of existing security technology across CASB, DLP, SWG, ZTNA and RBI. It requires 5-7 years of commercial experience making real changes in a business environment, with strong communication skills for direct customer interaction. The role is hybrid, based in London with flexible home-working, standard hours (09:00–17:30, Mon-Fri) and no on-call rotation.

About the Role
My client is hiring a client facing Cloud Security Engineer who wants greater independence, exposure to different industries and the chance to become a recognised technical authority within a specialist cybersecurity business.
Responsibilities
The Cloud Security Engineer will help customers make better use of the technology they already own—finding weaknesses, simplifying rules and improving how protection works in practice. Your strongest experience is likely to be across CASB, DLP and SWG, with opportunities to help customers introduce ZTNA and RBI. You'll combine technical problem-solving with customer conversations, explaining your thinking and building confidence in your advice.
Requirements
You're a Cloud Security Engineer with 5-7 years commercial experience who has made changes in a real business environment and can explain the reasoning behind them. You enjoy getting to the root of a problem, take responsibility for your work and feel comfortable talking directly with customers. You could come from a service provider or an internal security function.
Nice to have: Netskope experience would be ideal, but engineers working with Zscaler, Palo Alto Prisma Access, Skyhigh or comparable SSE products are encouraged to apply.
Conditions
The role offers considerable home-working flexibility, with a London office available. Applicants elsewhere will be considered, with attendance discussed individually. Working hours are 09:00–17:30, Monday to Friday, without an on-call rota.
