Responsibilities
•Maintain uptime of data transformation platforms and deliver stakeholder-driven feature requests
•Build scalable and reliable GitLab CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployments
•Identify improvements to make the current setup more stable and secure
•Collaborate with data engineers, developers, and security teams
•Document standards and mentor junior team members
•Maintain platform documentation and document and showcase new features
•Participate in the out-of-hours support call-out rota
Requirements
•Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, including BigQuery, Dataproc, Databricks, and data integration workflows
•Proficiency in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code in GCP
•Understanding of GCP networking, including VPCs, firewall rules, Cloud VPN, Private Service Connect, DNS, and Load Balancing
•Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Build, Cloud Deploy, or equivalent DevOps tools
•Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools such as Cloud Monitoring and Cloud Logging
•Scripting experience with Bash, Python, or PowerShell
•Understanding of cloud security best practices, including IAM, service accounts, Secret Manager, and organization policies
•Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
