About the Role
Hi! We're Riorise, a mobile multiplayer online game operating as a live service, with 35K daily concurrent players, 2M monthly unique players, and game servers across 50 geographic regions. We're looking for a Chief Technology Officer to play a key role in shaping and executing our technical strategy, overseeing product architecture, optimizing infrastructure, and coordinating our Development, DevOps, and QA teams.
Responsibilities
•Lead development through functional leads across our tech stack: Flutter launcher, native C++ client, PAWN server-side logic, Python backend, DevOps, and QA.
•Ensure live service stability, including SLOs, monitoring, DDoS protection, and the operation of game servers across multiple regions.
•Establish a system of technical metrics and observability, ensuring every metric has a defined data source, methodology, and owner.
•Keep client ANR rates and crash rates within App Store and Google Play thresholds.
•Build a robust quality assurance process, including test strategy, regression testing before releases, and hiring or developing a QA Lead.
•Distribute critical expertise across the team to reduce dependency on individual team members.
•Introduce AI-assisted development practices across engineering teams.
•Develop the technical roadmap in collaboration with Product and Monetization teams, and quantify the business impact of technical debt.
•Take ownership of security across infrastructure, anti-cheat and exploit prevention, and account security.
Requirements
•At least 2 years of experience as a CTO in game development or mobile products.
•Experience running a high-load live service across multiple geographic regions, where incidents have a direct impact on revenue.
•A strong server-side background in backend development or infrastructure.
•Broad technical expertise and the ability to engage in in-depth technical discussions with C++, Flutter, backend, and DevOps teams.
•Experience establishing monitoring and metrics systems from scratch.
•Experience building and scaling QA processes.
Conditions
•Autonomy and ownership: the freedom to make decisions and take ownership, with the opportunity to influence company strategy, grow the engineering team, and build processes that support business goals.
•Fast iterations and minimal bureaucracy: decisions are made quickly, and you can turn ideas into reality without lengthy approval processes.
•Flexible working hours and remote work.
•Private health insurance.
