About the Role
Are you ready to join the forefront of technology as a BI Data Engineer in Netcompany?
Responsibilities
•Develop and maintain a fully open-source Data Lakehouse and modern BI data platforms.
•Design BI architectures across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments, ensuring security, governance, and data residency compliance.
•Design and implement scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and orchestration workflows, including data contracts and schema evolution.
•Migrate legacy data flows to modern data platforms and build reliable pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
•Design and implement data models, including dimensional models, to support reporting, analytics, and business requirements.
•Build BI and analytics solutions, including dashboards, KPIs, reports, and self-service BI capabilities.
•Implement data quality, observability, and monitoring frameworks, covering lineage, freshness, SLAs, and SLOs.
•Deploy and manage BI platforms using Infrastructure as Code, version control, CI/CD, and environment management practices.
•Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including data dictionaries, lineage, architecture specifications, and operational runbooks.
•Enable self-service BI by providing curated datasets, certified reports, and guidance and support to business users.
Requirements
•University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
•Excellent English communication skills; knowledge of French is a plus.
•Strong knowledge of Data Lake and Data Lakehouse design patterns, with hands-on experience with technologies such as Snowflake, Delta Lake, and Airflow.
•Strong experience with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL, including complex SQL queries and database design.
•Hands-on experience with Python for data processing, including PySpark.
•Knowledge of BI and analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Apache Superset for enterprise reporting and self-service analytics.
•Knowledge of ETL/ELT technologies, such as dbt, for developing and managing enterprise data pipelines.
•Knowledge of cloud-based BI and data architectures, including platforms such as Snowflake and Databricks.
•Experience with data quality management, including validation rules, continuous monitoring, and issue resolution across data pipelines.
•Knowledge of data governance, cataloguing, and data observability practices, including lineage, freshness monitoring, and anomaly detection.
