About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and strong-minded backend engineer to join our team. You will have a good working knowledge of Node.js, TypeScript, micro-service architectures, serverless, relational databases and designing fault-tolerant systems. It is important that you have a strong focus on quality: well written code, pride in testing, and a holistic, end-to-end approach to development.
Responsibilities
•Engineering technical solutions and sharing them with the team through design sessions & code reviews
•Shaping a scalable and performant architecture of our sportsbook platform
•Discussing feasibility, ROI, and trade-offs with product as we aim to deliver "MVP" through to fully-fledged features

•A sharp mind: you ask why, you think about root causes, trade-offs, and use data to inform your decisions
•Experience in similar dynamic, fast paced environments in growing companies, or at least a reason for wanting to be in one
•An ability to illustrate: your technical diagrams and documentation should be easy to implement and understand
Nice to Have
•Solid experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog
•Real-world experience of improving the speed and scale of a given high-throughput system (1000s requests per second)
•A passion for sports
•Experience in the gambling industry
