Essential job functions
Work on the support and operation of Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop and Citrix environments, including monitoring, incident handling, troubleshooting and execution of documented procedures.
•Monitor AVD and Citrix environments.
•Handle incidents related to desktops, virtual applications and sessions.
•Investigate issues with access, logon, slowness, disconnection, applications and profiles.
•Manage user sessions.
•Support maintenance of Session Hosts and Citrix VDAs.
•Execute operational procedures and controlled changes.
•Collect logs and evidence for analysis or escalation.
•Support installations and updates of applications.
•Update procedures and technical documentation.
Basic qualifications
•Degree in Information Technology or related fields.
•Experience with support and troubleshooting on Windows 10/11 and Windows Server.
•Basic knowledge of Active Directory, GPO, DNS, networking and authentication.
•Experience using Event Viewer and basic log analysis.
•Knowledge of troubleshooting operating system, services and user profile issues.
Desirable qualifications in AVD and Citrix
•Basic knowledge of Azure Virtual Desktop and Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops.
•Familiarity with Host Pools, Session Hosts, Application Groups, Workspaces and RemoteApp.
•Familiarity with Citrix Workspace, Machine Catalogs, Delivery Groups, StoreFront and Citrix Director.
•Session management, Drain Mode, Session Hosts and Citrix VDAs.
•Basic troubleshooting of access, connectivity, performance, applications and sessions.
•Basic knowledge of FSLogix Profile Container and VHD/VHDX files.
•Familiarity with Azure Portal, Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
•Basic analysis of CPU, memory, disk, network and sessions.
Additional desirable knowledge
•Basic PowerShell to run or adapt existing scripts.
•Use of AI or Copilot as support for troubleshooting and documentation.
•English or Spanish for reading documentation and technical interaction.
•Microsoft, Azure or Citrix certifications will be considered a plus.
