About the role
We are looking for an AI Engineer to join Arlo Technologies — a global leader in smart home security devices used by millions worldwide.
What you will be working on
You will develop algorithms, detection models, and software for advanced video and audio analytics features for Arlo smart home devices, covering the full scope from data analysis and labeling to algorithm development and accuracy evaluation.
Areas of focus include:
•Motion detection, object detection and tracking
•Action recognition and video understanding
•Facial and biometric recognition, reidentification
•Audio recognition and natural language processing
What we are looking for
•BS in Computer Science or related field with 4+ years of industry experience; MS/PhD in ML or Computer Vision is a strong plus
•Strong proficiency in Python, PyTorch, AWS and Docker
•Experience with distributed systems, embeddings, vector search and multimodal retrieval
•Hands-on experience building tool-using AI agents
•Strong evaluation and data quality practices
•Comfortable with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code and Codex
•Bias toward shipping production-ready solutions
