In short

This remote Finance role designs and automates accounting methodology for a travel group's ERP and 1C systems, covering merchant/agency models, B2B/B2C transactions across hotels, air, rail and transfers. It demands at least 5 years of accounting experience with 2+ years in methodology or automation, solid IFRS knowledge (especially IFRS 15), and hands-on ERP/1C experience translating business requirements into technical specs for developers. The role sits at the intersection of finance, business and IT, working closely with developers, business analysts and operational accountants.

About the Role
We are looking for an Accounting Methodology & Automation Manager to join our Finance team and support the Group's ERP implementation and ongoing business transformation. In this role, you will work at the intersection of accounting, finance, business and IT. You will translate business requirements and changes into accounting methodology, define how accounting processes should work in ERP and 1C, and collaborate with developers and business analysts to automate them.
Responsibilities
•Develop and maintain accounting methodology for the Group's business models, including merchant and agency models (net / gross), prepayment and postpayment, B2B and B2C transactions across hotels, air, rail, transfers and ancillary services
•Design accounting rules, posting logic and chart-of-accounts requirements, defining the data needed to automate accounting processes in ERP and 1C
•Translate business scenarios, new products and process changes into accounting requirements and technical specifications for developers and business analysts
•Define data sources, field mappings, document flows and reconciliation logic, including the handling of corrections and disputes
•Collaborate with IT, product teams, business analysts and other stakeholders to implement and improve accounting processes
•Ensure that automated accounting entries are aligned with supplier and partner settlements, as well as intercompany balances
•Analyse the accounting implications of new products, contracts and system changes under IFRS, with a particular focus on IFRS 15
•Design and improve intercompany accounting and settlement processes between Group entities
•Support ERP implementation and rollout to new entities, including accounting methodology, migration rules and process standardisation
•Review supplier, partner and intercompany contracts from an accounting and VAT perspective, identifying potential improvements to invoicing and payment processes
•Support operational accountants on methodological matters and perform user acceptance testing (UAT) of automated accounting processes before go-live
Requirements
•A degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field
•At least 5 years of experience in accounting, including 2+ years in accounting methodology, accounting process automation or accounting systems implementation
•Solid knowledge of IFRS, particularly IFRS 15, including revenue recognition and principal-versus-agent considerations
•Practical experience working with ERP systems or 1C, with an understanding of accounting logic, posting rules and document flows — beyond day-to-day system usage
•Experience translating business requirements into accounting methodology and technical specifications for developers or business analysts
•Understanding of how accounting processes and data flows are organised and automated across different systems
•Understanding of APIs and system integrations
•Strong analytical skills and confidence working with large data sets in Excel, including pivot tables and lookup functions
•Ability to work independently, manage project timelines and deliver results
•Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex accounting matters to both finance and technical teams
•Language proficiency: Upper-Intermediate English (B2) or higher
Nice to have
•Practical experience with SQL or writing queries to retrieve and analyse data would be an advantage
•Other languages are a plus
Conditions
•Flexible schedules and opportunity to work remotely
•Ambitious and supportive team who love what they do, appreciate each other, and grow together
•Internal programs for adaptation and training, development of soft skills, and leadership abilities
•Partial compensation for participating in external training and conferences
•Corporate English school: Group and individual lessons, speaking clubs with colleagues from all over the world
•Corporate prices on hotels and travel services
•MyTime Day Off - an extra non-working day without loss of compensation
